Teaching Assistant, Full Time, Fixed Term to 31 August 2027

Salary: £25,583 FTE, Start Date: 1 September 2026

Closing Date: Monday 8 June, 12 noon

Interviews: week commencing 15 June

 

We are looking for a fabulous Teaching Assistant to join us full time in September 2026, initially for one year. Ideally you will have experience of working in a primary setting. The role is based in Key Stage 2 and is very varied. It includes working as a general  TA in class, one to one with children who have special needs and working with small groups of children. As part of our expanding outdoor play offer you will also work as part of the lunchtime play team.

Literacy Specialists - Burley Woodhead English Hub

£450 daily rate paid to Literacy Specialists' own school

Closing Date: Monday 8 June 2026

Start Date: 1 September 2026, initially for one year (funding dependent on annual DfE grant)

Burley and Woodhead CE Primary is one of 34 schools across the country designated to lead an English Hub by the DfE. The Hub is responsible for promoting early language development, age appropriate phonics provision and a love of reading in pupils. The remit is now extending to cover phonics and fluency in KS2 and to provide catch up provision and strengthen reading culture in KS3.

We have two exciting opportunities to join our English Hub as a Literacy Specialist supporting schools across Bradford and North Yorkshire. We are looking for applications from exceptional teachers and their schools who would like to take on this role working one day a week.  Teachers in EYFS/KS1 will have a passion for early language development and teaching phonics and teachers in KS3/upper KS2 will have the drive to improve literacy and raise standards for all secondary pupils

Supported by our existing team, you will provide an intensive school to school support package including audits of existing provision,training and resource funding. Administrator - Burley Woodhead English Hub, Mon-Fri 9am-3pm, term time only, fixed term to 31 August 2028

Salary: £26,403 FTE

Closing Date: Monday 15 June, interviews will be held later that week

Start Date: 1 September 2026

We are looking for an outstanding administrator who will support our English Hub.  You will be based at Burley and Woodhead Primary School and support our Hub Lead and Hub Manager with the day to day running of the Hub, answering phone and email queries and supporting the delivery of events and training. You will also be responsible for the marketing and social media output for both the Hub and for Burley Woodhead Primary School.

The Burley Woodhead English Hub specialist team support primary schools across Bradford and North Yorkshire to improve outcomes in phonics, early language and reading in Reception and Key Stage 1. Our remit is extending in 2026-27 to include Key Stage 2 and secondary schools.

 You will:

  • Have great communication skills and be a flexible team player
  • Be IT literate with a good understanding of social media
  • Be organised and able to work on your own initiative
  • Have experience of marketing and promotion through social media, website, face to face and print publications
