The Christian values that run throughout our vision and aims are: compassion, forgiveness, generosity, service, thankfulness and trust
Burley and Woodhead Church of England Primary School
Our School Vision is taken from Corinthians 1, Verse 12.
And so there are many parts, but only one body… God put the body together and gave more honour to the parts that need it. God did this so that our body would not be divided. He wanted the different parts to care the same for each other. If one part of the body suffers, then all the other parts suffer with it. Or if one part of our body is honoured, then all the other parts share its honour. (ICB You Version)
Our aim is to develop a Church of England school that everyone can be proud of, which promotes a strong social, moral, spiritual and academic ethos. When children leave our school, they will be respectful, resilient, confident, caring individuals with a love of learning, who are ambitious future leaders of their local and global community.
We ensure the members of our school community can work together in a caring and supportive learning environment, within and beyond the classroom.
We communicate our identity through our seven Burley Woodhead me areas: spiritual me, learning me, global me, healthy me, creative me, safe me and collaborative me. Underpinning all our work are our our six Christian values: compassion, forgiveness, generosity, service, thankfulness and trust.
Through the focus on Spiritual Me, children understand how their outlook on life is unique to them and that they can make a valuable contribution to the many different areas of school life.
