Attendance

Attendance is taken very seriously at Burley Woodhead Primary School and we are working hard to help students achieve 100% attendance.  We believe that we all have a shared responsibility to ensure that each child does not get left behind due to persistent absence.

We believe that regular attendance and punctual attendance promotes effective and continuous learning;  promotes positive friendships and well-being; and establishes life long traits of good attendance and punctuality.

As a school we: promote good, timely attendance and reduce absence, including persistent absence; ensure every pupil has access to full-time education to which they are entitled; and act early in order to address patterns of lateness and absence.

If you need to report an absence - please see our Letting the School know page.

Our 2025 Attendance Policy can be accessed here.
